Job Title: Family Group Conference & Lifelong Links Coordinator
Starting Salary: £37,035 progressing to £40,476 per annum (pro rata for part time) (pro rata for part time)
Hours: Deliver a minimum of 10 hours per week (approx.)
Location: Base locations either at Farnham House, Stevenage or Apsley, Hemel Hempstead with requirement to travel.
Contract Type: Variable;

About the team
Hertfordshire has a well-established and accredited FGC Service. We believe that those families open to Hertfordshire Children’s Services should be supported to come together and find solutions from within their own networks at the earliest opportunity and that FGCs offer this possibility.

About the role
As an FGC coordinator, you will be coordinating and facilitating Family Group Conferences which will involve direct work with children and families.
As a coordinator you will need to be self-motivated, dynamic and organised, with an experience and passion to help empower children and families to plan and make positive changes. You will be required to manage meetings that are child and family led, with some professionals in attendance.
About you
Essential:
- Family Group Conference Co Ordinator Trained
- Experience of working in children social care or early help.
- Experience of and commitment to delivering high quality work for families, children, and young people.
- An understanding and ability to manage groups and meetings.
- Ability to understand and manage complex family dynamics and needs of CYP.
- Ability to be flexible in your working hours, evenings and weekends will be required to meet the needs of this role.
- Full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with different partner agencies.
- Proficient use of IT packages such as Microsoft office, excel, word, MS teams, email.
Desirable:
- A social work qualification or professional equivalent qualification. You must be registered with SW England if you are Social Worker.
- Lifelong link trained.
- Experience of mediation, advocacy, and participation
